11, the "Reno", is a surviving 4-4-0, "American" type steam locomotive. V & T #11 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in their Philadelphia, PA plant in May 1872. The locomotive was received by the V&T and inaugurated as the "Reno" in July of that year, hauling passenger trains between Steamboat Springs and the Central Pacific Railroad connection in Reno, Nevada. Despite the arrival of V&T 4-4-0's #12, 17, 18, & 22, the Reno remained a constant sight on the railroad running everything from local passenger services to crack expresses.
Canvas sight is 15.5"x11.5" in a 23.75"x19.75" painted black wood shabby type frame with a cream colored linen liner. Condition: Canvas clean and bright, frame and liner in good condition with a few nicks on shabby style wood frame.Only train known to be have been painted by Walcutt.
