PREWAR AMERICAN FLYER PASSENGER TRAIN SET STEAM ENGINE TENDER 2-1211 1-1212 CARS. HERE WE HAVE A PREWAR AMERICAN FLYER PASSENGER TRAIN SET TO INCLUDE STEAM ENGINE WITH NO NUMBER AF SMALL 4 WHEEL TENDER AND 2-1211 PULLMAN PASSENGER CARS & 1-1212 OBSERVATION CAR ALL 4 WHEEL CARS. THE PASSENGER CARS ARE ALL MARKED ON THE BOTTOM. THIS ALSO COMES WITH A OLDER MARX TRANSFORMER THAT WAS WITH THE SET WHEN I GOT IT. THIS IS IN GOOD SHAPE.

IT DID HUM WHEN PLUGGED IN. THE ENGINE HAS BEEN TESTED AND IT DOES RUN. THIS DID RUN IN FORWARD AND REVERSE. THIS WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED & SERVICED TO GET THIS BACK TO GOOD RUNNING CONDITION. THE HEADLIGHT DID WORK WHEN TESTED.

THE BACK PILOT TRUCK WHEELS LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW ONES. THIS STEAM ENGINE, TENDER & PASSENGER CARS AREW ALL IN GOOD PLAYED WITH LOOKING CONDITION. THEY ALL HAVE SOME PLAYED WITH AND WEAR ISSUES DUE TO AGE.

THEY ALL HAVE SOME MARKS AND OTHER PLAYED WITH ISSUES TO THEM. THEY ALL HAVE SOME PAINT LOSS TO THEM. THE TENDER & PASSENGER CARS LOOK TO HAVE BEEN REPAINTED AT ONE TIME FROM THE LOOKS OF THEM. THERE IS SOME OXIDATION & SURFACE STARTING ON SOME OF THEM. THE MARKINGS ON ONE SIDE OF THE TENDER WERE EITHER PAINTED OVER OR THEY WORE OFF.

THE TENDER SIDES ARE BENT OUT OF POSITION SOME. THERE IS LOSS TO THE MARKINGS ON THE STEAM ENGINE. OVERALL THE STEAM ENGINE IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE CONSIDERING HOW OLD THIS THIS WAS A PLAYED WITH TRAN SET AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE. OVERALL THIS IS STILL A GOOD LOOKING STEAM ENGINE, TENDER & PASSENGER CARS EVEN WITH THE ISSUES THESE ALL HAVE TO THEM. THESE HAVE BEEN PACKED AWAY FOR A LONG TIME. THIS IS A ESTATE SALE FIND. PLEASE SEE THE PICS OF THIS PASSENGER TRAIN SET BELOW AND FOR CONDITION AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION FOR THIS. THIS WOULD MAKE A NICE GIFT FOR THAT SPECIAL COLLECTOR IN YOUR FAMILY.
