Lionel Trains RARE 19203X Promotional Locomotive/ Freight Car Set with OB
These promotional sets were the trains that Lionel created exclusively for retailers and promotional firms. 243 Steam Locomotive- features metal motor, 2 position reverse unit, operating smoke and whistle. Everything worked when bench tested. 243W Lionel Lines Tender- has a break in the back which has been glued. Hard to capture in a photograph. 6017 Caboose- possibly could have been switched out for an alternate caboose at the factory. 40-11 Brown Cable Reels- HARD TO FIND in the brown variation. 3362-Helium Unloading Car w/ (3) Helium Tanks. 1013-8 Curved Track Sections (8). 1018-5 Straight Track Sections (5). Missile launching car features non operating Archbar trucks and couplers.
Set is in very good condition but some pieces may need some TLC. Missing from the set is billboards and 943 Exploding Ammo Car. Set comes in the original outfit box variation 62-243 which measures 12 1/8 x 11 1/2 x 6 3/8.
This is the harder to find of the two variations. In fact only 800 of these were produced! This set is a dream come true for train collectors and enthusiasts.
