Ives 3255 Motor Locomotive and 129, 130, 132 Orange Passenger Cars O Gauge 1926-28. The locomotive is an S-type, with steel cab. The locomotive is in good condition. It is orange, with gold window trim.

It has brass lights, plaques and railing. Everything appears to be intact. The locomotive is orange, with black undercarriage.

The orange paint is very good, with some slight scratches, wear, and paint loss. It has been tested and runs well. Passenger cars are tin plate, plain lithography. They are orange, with black lettering, brown and red doors. There are scratches and paint loss.

Paint loss on the roofs of all cars. Wheels show only minimum corrosion. The original box is not included.

The instruction manual is not included. This item has been tested and runs. This item requires servicing, as it has been in storage since about 1974. Please see picture for service details. They are all owned by the same family, whose children and adults played with these trains often. The trains have been generally well-maintained, and have been in storage since about 1974. The owner's mother individually wrapped each piece, and they remained in careful storage containers until I opened then in 2023.

These trains are not garage sale or yard sale finds, but a collection of family heirlooms. Most are prewar, made between 1910 and 1942. Most are Standard (wide) gauge, and some are O Gauge. There are some pieces from the early post-war period.
