This is a classic representation of a Denver & Rio Grande Western passenger train with livery as used in a movie (D&RGW Black & Orange). The locomotive is a 2-8-0 C-19 (I think from Athearn It came equipped with a DCC Sound decoder set to the engine number). The locomotive was factory painted. The locomotive will arrive in its original box a d plastic cozie both ib excellent conndition.
Wanting an appropriate set of passenger cars, I chose some older vintage Model Die Casting 30' Overton cars; one combination baggage/passenger and two passenger cars. I painted them in appropriate livery colors using an airbrush.
I decaled them for D&RGW. I think I was able to match the engine colors well.
The train runs very well, with control very smooth. This ready-to-run train will look great on a layout from the first half of the 20th Century or as an excursion train on a more modern layout.
In either event, it will be an eye-catcher! It will make a Great Father's Day gift!
